A weekend of fun for
everyone, BELLEVILLE,
MI
– The 31st Annual Strawberry Festival in
Belleville,
Michigan
offers something for everyone with three days of nonstop events. The
Strawberry Festival celebrates the strawberry season with free special events
for the entire family, beginning with Two Midways, beer tent, music and
concerts, bingo, crafters, magnificent food, strawberry treats, a children’s
area, Strawberry Queen, and Prince and Princess pageants.

Detroit
Pistons/Detroit Shock Year-Round Hoops Truck.
Shoot hoops for a prize. Meet Hooper, the team mascot. Watch highlights of
championship games on a big screen. Located on the corner of Main and Third
Streets.
Festival Parade:
Saturday June 14th – 11:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m.
See more than
150 exciting entries of floats, musical entertainment, motorcades, marching
bands, clowns, and acrobats that will keep you entertained for two hours. Non
stop action as over 30,000 people gather to watch this annual breath-taking
parade.

Carnival Rides and Games:
Two midways. Belleville High School
and Main Street. The Midway at Belleville High School begins on Thursday, June 12th.
Sponsored by the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Fantasy Face Painting: Derby & Lovely, making their first appearance at
the festival, will showcase their
talents with Fantasy Face Painting near the Main Stage at the corner of
Main and 3rd Streets. Derby &
Lovely are the official fantasy face painters for the Detroit Tigers and
Detroit Lions. With numerous awards, these 2 Clowns have been performing for
over 15 years. For more information, visit

Stage Entertainment:
Special musical entertainment groups will be featured from around the local
area. A fantastic variety of entertainment for everyone will take place in the
downtown area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Three stages will keep you
tapping your toes. Located at Main and Fourth Streets; Main and Third Streets and Main Street at Frosty Boy.

Arts & Crafts:
There is no shortage of arts and crafts throughout the
Festival. Featuring craftspeople and artisans from all over the state of Michigan, special
market places are located throughout the festival.


6TH Annual Cinnamon's Fathers Day Car Show: Sunday June 16th, in shady Victory Park at 5 Points 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Pancake Breakfast:
Hosted by the
Rotary Club, this festival tradition and favorite, is held at the Belleville
High School cafeteria. Fill up on pancakes before the parade. Saturday,
June 14th,
8:00-11:00 a.m.
Strawberry Shortcake and Strawberry Treats
Enjoy the many fine strawberry treats located throughout the festival’s sites.

Strawberry Idol Contest
- Can you sing? Do you think you have what it takes to become "Strawberry
Idol"? Enter one of three age divisions of competition and win a studio
recording session provided by Talent Live Studios, Canton (www.talentlive.com).
Contest will take place Sunday on the Main stage. Entry forms available
online or at the festival office.
Strawberry Queen Pageant,
Belleville High School
Auditorium
Friday, June 13th –

The exciting National
Strawberry Queen pageant. Beauty, intelligence, and talent are what you’ll see

Strawberry Prince and Princess Contest: Friday,
June 13th, 12:00
p.m. at South Middle School. Contestants must live in
Belleville, Sumpter or Van Buren Township. For more information, call

Mark
Rosenthal’s Animal Magic-
the popular exotic animal magician returns. Mark will be on the stage at the
corner of Main and 4th Streets. Scheduled performance times are
Friday, June 13th, 5pm and 7pm; Saturday, June 14th, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm;Sunday
June 15th, 2pm, 5pm.

Shuttle
Service.
Use the convenient free shuttle vans to visit the different locations. Or
take a ride on the American Legion Train or in the Ford
Hydrogen van. Shuttle and train runs
continuous loop around the festival starting at the Meijer parking lot on
Belleville Road. Shuttle hours: Friday 5pm-11; Saturday 10am-11pm; Sunday
Noon-7pm.

See beautiful Belleville
and Van Buren Township from the air. Provided by Phoenix Precision Air, the
ride boards behind
Belleville
High School.
Rise
Above BMX Stunt Team
returns by popular demand. See daring bicycle stunts and courageous
jumps at the Frosty Boy on Main Street. Show times are Friday, June 15th:
1pm, 4pm, 7pm; Saturday, June 16th: 1pm, 4pm, 7pm; Sunday, June 17th: 1pm, 3pm,
5pm. The kids will love this!
The
City of Belleville Fire Department:
will be at Main and Second Streets with a few tables and chairs for visitors
to sit at and eat or just to rest. While there you can view a video of the
Belleville Fire Department performing their training practices and responding
to fire and rescue calls or buy a $5.00 raffle ticket for a change to win a 42" plasma tv or
or other items. All proceeds go to the fire department for training and equipment.
The 4th
Annual Waterball Competition,
between the Belleville Fire Department and several other neighboring fire
departments will be held on Saturday, June 16, immediately following the
Belleville Strawberry Festival Parade, at Main and Third Street. It is an
exciting event to watch.

Water Ski Show - Saturday June 14th at 3:00 pm At Horizon Park (behind the Veteran's Memorial)
Presented by: The Belleville Lake Waterski Club
Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue will offer pets for adoption under the
canopy at the Higgerson-Neal Funeral Home located on Main Street. Stop
by to learn about pet care, visit with the rescued dogs and cats and bring
